Failure, Entrepreneurship & 5 Easy Tools to Simplify Any Online Business
For the last three months I woke up feeling like a failure. I made a plan at the beginning of the year and I was like, "I am going to wake up at 5:30 o'clock in the morning, every single morning, because that's what successful people do. That's what CEOs do." Well… every single morning, I was unable to wake up at 5:30 in the morning, and every single morning I felt like a failure, and that's how I started my day.
Every single day waking up feeling like a failure is not the way to grow a profitable business, is not the way to continue to grow personally, professionally, spiritually, mentally. I was starting my day, every single day, beating myself up and thinking, like, "I'm shit," you know? I was a cranky mommy. I was not myself. The first quarter of 2019 was rough, starting my morning every single day feeling like a failure. I told myself, "Well, successful people wake up early, so I need to wake up early if I'm going to do what successful people do and have what successful people have. I have to wake up at 5:30 in the morning," and it just wasn't happening for me.
I took a step back and I said, "Okay, what can I change, because my plan isn't working?" Clearly. Not only is my plan not working, but it's negatively affecting my mental state, my ability to succeed and do well. Like, what is it that is happening here? Hey Becca, you tell them. Yes, I am. Jade, hi Jade, I see you here on Instagram, too.
Have you ever set expectations for yourselves or plans, and be like, "I'm going to do this thing, and I'm going to do it so hard," and then you continuously miss the mark, miss the mark. Then you're like, "Why am I missing the mark? What's happening here?"
So I said to myself is, "Okay, this plan clearly isn't working. What is it that I need to do to make something else work for me?" I shifted around my schedule and I now drop my son off an hour early. Now, I know not everyone has as much flexibility as I do, but there's always, always, always alternative options. Even when you think you don't have other options, there are other options.
Now I have an hour before I start pouring into you guys and I start pouring into my clients, emails, before I start really doing the damn thing, I have an hour to pour into myself and I have an hour to really give back to myself before I start to give out.
You cannot pour from an empty cup, and waking up every single morning feeling like a fucking failure will make you feel like you're pouring from an empty cup, and that's exactly how I felt.
What did I do? I changed the plan. I, myself, have always been someone who doesn’t want to change the plan. I set the plan “for a reason”. Because, I'm like that. It's so hard for me to give myself the flexibility and the room to wiggle and change things. I hold myself at such a high standard that I don't ever want to cut myself a break. You know what I mean?
All of this being said I just released my new resource 5 EASY TOOLS TO SIMPLIFY ANY ONLINE BIZ and these are the same tools that I've used for myself and for my clients.
